About the Author

Neha Bajaj is a writer and disability advocate. With a Master's Degree in Psychology from NYU and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Neha previously worked in international development and impact investing at UNICEF USA. She then moved into education where she led finance and strategy at several national education non-profits. Neha has served on the boards of multiple non-profits and a New York City charter school. Neha’s experience working with non-profits has fueled her passion for equity and inclusion for all kids.

 

Neha’s journey with disabilities began when her older son was diagnosed with Autism in 2014. Since then she has advocated for better access to education for students with Autism. She hopes to continue working with families of children with disabilities.

 

She lives in Garden City, New York with her husband and two boys. She enjoys curling up for family movie nights, playing tennis and being an amateur interior designer.

About the Illustrator

Carolyn Williams graduated from the American Academy of Art in Chicago with a degree in Illustration. After an extensive career as a graphic artist, she decided to pursue her first love and became a full-time freelance illustrator. She now enjoys creating bright, whimsical illustrations inspired by nature, the seasons, and her passion for children's education. Her work can be found in picture books, educational books, and adult coloring books. Originally from Chicago, she now lives in Madison, Wisconsin with her husband and two children.
